Review

A little-known film set in the early 20th century, in 1900, in Venezuela. The spectacle, with the theme of indigenous Venezuelan Indians, combines an adventure story with the iconographic and thematic elements of the western. The story tells about rubber workers who are exploited by the wealthy planter Don José and also killed by the local Indians. The protagonist Mario comes to Venezuela, where he finds himself on plantations and gets into a conflict with Don José. He falls in love with a local girl, Maria Dolores, who helps him escape from the green hell of the Amazonia. The film was shot in 1963 by the Italian production company Cine Kronos and distributed in Italy in 1964 by P.E.A. (Produzioni Europee Associati) by producer and distributor Alberto Grimaldi.
