The Spaghetti Western isn't as formulaic as one might think. Imthe late 60's/early 70's, the popularity of the kung fo genre and oriental films in general touched the spaghetti western and producedthe East meats West sub genre. The first ofthese films to be released was Red Sun with Charles Bronson, Toshiro Mifune, and Ursulla Andress. Other westerns in this ilkwere soon to follow.
